Cubase LE or Pro Tools LE

I'm a bedroom jammer, but I've got tons of ideas I really want to work out and get recorded. I'll need something that can handle some decent drum software, maybe the occasional virtual instrument, bass, guitar, and vocal tracks. I don't currently need to record more than 2 tracks at a time, but it the program needs to be able to handle a full drum kit, preferably individually mic'd.

I am the mask you wear.

I had an Mbox with Protools for about three years that I really can't say anything bad about. If all you need is two tracks and some easy software to use my vote would be for Protools.

I voted Pro Tools, but that's the only DAW I've used. I my last digital recording rig was a stand alone unit. When I made the leap, I went with the Pro Tools because of ease of use and a little of the follow the sheep thing because I figured people said "industry standard" enough.

I've no complaints whatsoever.

I've had so much trouble with my pro tools le that I voted cubase, the pro tools le isn't the easiest program to use and you would never know how to work it correctly without proper classes that cost about a grand. I have a friend that knows it like the back of his hand so he's my go to guy for problems. You've heard my clips and you know I'm still learning it after having it for a few years, just my 2 cents.

Cubase.

Digidesign is in the software business to sell hardware.

The fact that they charge you out the ass for a piece of hardware just to use Pro Tools kills it for me. You can get a much better interface than the 002R for much less cash.
