Just a generic soundtest

Just messin' around with some riffs from a song I'm working on.
It is the same DI(I'm kinda lazy :P) on two different tracks panned 90% left and 90% right.
Schecter Hellraiser C-7(Bridge pickup) - Presonus Audiobox - Reaper - Guitar Rig 5 with KeFIR and some EQ for minor adjustments. The impulse I used on both tracks is from the Guitarhacks Impulses "Louder JJ Powertube Impulses Full Set Straight", "Between0". I had also put a small limiter from EZMix 2(Misc - Master2) on the master track just for this little record so it won't clip. Tuning is Bb Standard. Tell me what you think.

Cool! However I wouldn't use as much reverb

I think the reverb would be fine if it was sitting in a mix.

You're right but it sounds like it has too much reverb because it's the same DI on two seperated tracks and it's not in a mix.

nice. its sounds a bit boomy when you fret the palm muted 3 or whatever(high passed?). and you got a horrible hissing/feedback throughout, its really noticable in my headphones, it sounds like the amp is just about to squeal. you got a noise gate on?

I don't agree boomy, I actually find the tone itself nice and chunky. There is a very nasty feedback loop though.

Yeah I know. I should check that out more and try using some more IRs outside the Guitarhacks Impulses library
