![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Short test clip Just recorded a short clip to try out some new sounds. This is the first time I've programmed drums on my MIDI keyboard, so it's nothing fancy, just some basic stuff to get a feel for how it works. The drum sounds aren't that good, but once I get EZDrummer and DFH EZX, it'll improve. There's no bass on this, haven't got one yet. Here it is: DT clip It's just two riffs from Dream Theater's As I Am, played sloppily. Tell me what you think of the sounds. ![]() |

BTW, this is a hella-fun song to play. This is the first song I ever learned on guitar (well, minus the solo of course) and I love it Sounds very good dude! My only suggestion (and you probably already know this) is to crank it way up during recording so you get that feedback during the riff. This is actually I've never done, but what I normally do is play pinch harmonics and then use feedback to sustain them. Oh, and there are some high-quality backing-tracks out there for this song, so you don't have to settle for MIDI drums, even if you don't have EZDrummer yet ![]() ---------------------- Visit my band, 'Emulsifier.' Unless you suck. You don't suck... do you? http://www.myspace.com/demx | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The drums aren't MIDI, they're DFH2, but I can't be bothered to do much processing. It's pretty hard to get controlled feedback with software amps ![]() Thanks for the feedback, dude. |
