New Mix! (Hardcore, Djent)

Hey guys let me know what you think of the mix, there are some things that I need to work on still like the snare and overheads and I still need to record bass

Any other suggestions on how to improve the overall mix?

The Kick and the hi hats are really loud in the mix. I find myself listening to them the most on the track.

The cymbals need to be quieter, but at the same time more forward in the mix. The bass drum needs to be quieter too, but if you had a bass guitar in there it would be less of an issue. Guitar sounds good.

For the most part it is good and it seems you are already aware of the drum issues so I'd say add bass and you got something pretty good.

try parallel compressing the kick and snare. it helps making them punchier without risking to squash them to bits.

Take a lopass to your cymbals, dont overdo it though. youll essentially turn them down that way. Turn the guitars up and whack some more lowend into them. Got a bass on it? Turn that up too.

Sounds good though.

Thanks you guys for all the comments so far, also thank you Johhny from fortiori! I originally used superior drummer with a preset close to yours from the tutorial but I recently switched over to Steven Slate another, thing that might be affecting this mix is the mastering in Ioztope. I havent really learmed yet how to master properly so I just threw on a quick preset that I thought sounded good lol.

Here is what my Superior Drummer preset sounded like:

Heres what I sounded like in a mix similarly mix lol, the guitars are a little muddy here btw:
