Tasty stuff my man! You have a great sense of melody and phrasing and that's always the hardest to accomplish.

Having said that, freakin' awesome job man! I'm getting that Satch vibe, too, but that's a good thing. The middle section is amazing. My only note would be that a casual non-musician listener who can't think to themselves "Oh man, listen to that creamy legato" or "damn, that's some crazy-awesome tone" might get a bit lost in the part leading up to the middle section. Of course, if you're not interested to catering to that crowd, that's perfectly fine Although I'd spice it up somehow a bit more.

Again, really awesome! I like the middle the best, definitely

Yeah, I played this for my brother, who plays a bit of guitar, but listens to vocal music almost exclusively. His comment was that as a guy who doesn't really listen to a lot of instrumental stuff, the first thing that really grabbed his ear was the distorted riff that came in about halfway through, and that it didn't seem like a "song" as opposed to just some lead guitar doing its thing until that point.

On one hand, that's sort of what I wanted here - I'm totally taking the first G3 version of "Cool #9" as inspiration here, almost to the point where it's too much of an inspiration, I suppose, where you've got a guitar theme that you sort of expore around for a while before you really kick in. But, on the other, the dude sort of has a point, and some more time making that hook really sing is clearly in order.

Anyway, I was more worried about the arrangement - I'm not 100% sure I like how it holds together after the distorted stuff.

The whole first few minutes is a little long... i love your tone and phrasing, but i'm not liking the long noodling over a simple chord progression/riff that goes nowhere. The riff that comes in right before the solo is kinda cool... you could break up the first part with a couple more of those to get more of a verse/chorus modulation happening.

Wow, you actually recorded something?
I thought my feet were getting a bit cold.

I like your tone,
and i agree with darren a bit about the beginning,
it takes a while to get into it.

Dave didn't like the song on the radio. So he killed a little girl.

I'm liking it. I've always liked the long drawn out Satch songs and this definitely fits that mold. I really like the middle section and how it kicks in to the solo.
Nice work.

I think the bit at the beginning is too long, no offence dude but I was starting to get a little bored so a non player would probably have skipped the track by then. The build up before the solo is very cool. I know you said it's intentional, but that's not resemblence there dude, you're totally ripping off I'm Broken there!

On the whole it's good, it just needs a little revising. I wish I had your chops dude!

+1, exactly what I was thinking when listening to it.

Division - American metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on MySpace, and Soundclick, too.
