I used my Ibanez RG2228, which currently has an .80 as the lowest string. I didn't tune the whole guitar down just the F down to a low C#. It's stupid stupid low haha. I didn't attempt to do the bass an Octave down from that. I just tuned it to the same octave. I don't have the strings or a bass with a long enough scale to go down that low. I've done low Eb/D# on my friends bass with a .182 and that's at the threshold of getting insane.
