Heavy, fast song test with EZDrummer, PodXT, much Critique welcome!

Hey guys

Well as I'm slowly learning how to get a better sound out of the recording combo I recently purchased, I was in the mood to write something aggressive and see how tight and punchy I could get it.

The song is called Hell-O and is currently lacking vocals & bass (but will have them by mid week!). Il update with a version with those added in the week. The guys from the band love the song but they are biased

The setup is my PodXT Live, FL Studio 6, EZdrummer standard and some freeware plugins

Glad you guys like it, what do you think of the overall produced sound..?

It's the Bogner tone from the MetalShop with some tweaking and a bit of EQ done in Line6 Gearbox. I've attached the .l6t tone for you if you want to tweak it

The guitar used to record this is my cheapo Schecter Omen-7

.. tracked twice per side (total 4 parts)

Good job dude!

Maybe it was the speakers I was using, but the only thing I wasn't digging was the snare sound. I've noticed it on most EZdrummer stuff I've heard, as well as a lot of Drumkit From hell recordings...

In any case, killer tune

Thats my fault, I slightly over compressed it as it wasn't cutting through the mix well despite some serious EQ. Im gonna do another remix as a friend of mine has commented on the snare
