Are those vocals I hear very faintly? Ok now the screaming kicked in. I'd turn them up a bit

Are you going for a black metal kind of feel? You should put some clean vocals on this!

Hey, thanks both of you. Yeah, it seems the vocals turned out a tad low. I'll fix that in next version.

We used to be much more black, whereas now it serves as an influence rather than the norm. You can have a listen to some old stuff here:

Very nice! The bass drum is a bit boomy though for my taste, I'd try to make it a bit more clickier. But real good job!

Agree. I will try to add more presence to the kick without getting it too modern sounding.

You can probably take some of the boominess out of the kicks without messing with uppermids too much by just taking out some of the extreme low end (<40hz or so). Try a high pass filter and mess with the freq cut from 30 to 50 or so to see if that helps.

Upon further investigation (damn, that sounds geeky...) it seems there's a spike close to 60 Hz, perhaps some resonance of sort... Either way, cutting it with a narrow Q seems to clear up the low end on the kick.
