Hell yeah!!

That's the stuff!

I really like your singer. He often sounds like a mix between Anselmo and Robb Flynn, which is killer IMO!

I love the songs too. They have great dynamics but they don't go too far from the theme of the song. They sound like nothing has been forced to fit the song, you know.

Didn't you say that you recorded the amps straight on without no OD-pedals?

Sounds killer man. The tone fits the music perfectly. What were the settings again, if you don't mind me asking?

I hope you get a record deal so I can buy your stuff here in Finland

Keep up the good work.

Fuck buddy thanks for the extremely kind words I am honestly honestly humbled

The settings were:

Other guitarists 5150 - Lead channel - pre 6, Bass 5, mid 5, treb 7, post 3.5, res 7, pres 0. (he's got high gain JJ's in the pre amp & a set of 2 6l6's & 2 KT88's in the power stage)

My 5150 - lead channel - pre 6.5, bass 6.5, mid 5, treb 5, post 3.5, res 7, pres 0. (Ive got the bias mod & use 4 JJ's + 1 groovetubes 5751 in main driver & JJ 6l6's)

It didn't sound anything special on it's own although it was very tight sounding but in the mix it totally destroys.

When we play live I have it set up : Lead channel - pre 5.5, bass 6.5, mid 2.5, treb 4, post 3.5, res 6.5, pres 7 with a Maxon OD808 up front set to drive 9 o'clock, tone 11 o'clock, level 12 o'clock

I know it sounds like alot of pre gain but thats due to the 5751 in the main driver cos it's 30% less gain than the JJ so it cleans up the sound alot & gives more headroom so you can turn up the gain a bit without the harsh fizz.

I dig it dude!

and yeah, the 5150 cuts right through in that mix.

I'm currently using my 5150 with no OD in front, but i have a very strong right hand that helps tighten it up a bit. I haven't put it infront of a mic to record yet, so we'll see how that goes...

My settings are very similar, but i use the presence at level 5-6 without a mic, and with a mic i cut it down to 2-3. Currently, it's all groove tubes (came new in the amp from the guy i bought it off of). I talked to Bob and Eurotubes and i might get the mod done soon!

Hell yeah brother.

In my opinion, it has a very strong vibe like the stuff that was made in the early and mid 90's. Not that the music is exactly like those bands, but the vibe, the vibe man!

Stuff like Machine Head(Burn my eyes), Sepultura(Chaos AD), Pantera(all of it), Carcass etc..

A lot of the stuff nowdays is missing that vibe, but you guys nailed it

Dude getting the bias mod will make alot of difference to your tone, it really opens the sound out.

We have heard that quite alot, we're all major Carcass & Pantera fans & our drummer is mad on Burn my eyes too, I guess we're a product of our influences as we're all in our late 20's & early 30's so the early to mid 90's is where we draw most our inspiration from.
There doesn't seem to be many original bands about these days but maybe thats cos of the record labels picking out certain types of bands which in turn creates a trend/scene which then alot of bands seem to follow.

I guess we're Trend Killers
