Axe-Fx demo: CA3+ Lead (studio/video content)

This is one of my favourite amps in the Axe-Fx, it works for the nice Petrucci-type saturation I like but it still keeps the character of singlecoils very well.

I haven't really got around to the whole exchange-thing, I tried to load some patches into my Axe but I couldn't get it to work.

Either way it's a very simple patch, just a highpass filter - amp (no boost, gain around 2 o' clock, all EQ pretty much at noon, pretty high master volume though and the Sag is around 10-11 o' clock) - mono delay stock setting - 2x12 BRIT with R121 - Reverb (stock setting MD Room).

That's it

At first i was like "DAYUM this sounds just like Andy summers' tone!"

Then i saw you were using a Custom Audio sim and then it clicked. AxeFX is win.

Cool! I haven't listened to him much, do you mean his solo stuff or his work with the Police? I'll have to check it out

I mean the Certifiable live performance with the Police. He used a couple Custom Audio amps and a Relic strat. his tone was godly.

Damn, you're onto something there

That really does sound amazing, I'll have to get that DVD. I've listened a lot to Sting's solo stuff (7 days

) but not so much the Police actually.
