NEW HEAVY AND MELODIC ROUGH CLIP!! (Podxt, Dfhs, emg707)

So yeah its been a while since i have been creative or had any new clips to post, but here is a new idea!! Now this is only a rough clip and not the whole idea, but its what is presentable thus far, so check it out and let me know what you think!

I was trying out a slightly new guitar and bass tone (both podxt) and im using my cheapo schecter with the emg707 in the bridge. Drums are drumkit from hell superior as usual.

its called "forever and a half"

www.soundclick.com/bulb

it plays by default but you can also stream it directly this way:

Enjoy!

Yeah, I like this a lot. It reminds me of Dream Theater, without the sometimes annoying vocals.

Also d/l'd Ultimatum, which sounds killer, too.

Parts sounded a lot like stuff from 'Death of a Dead Day'. Not saying you have plagiarised but had you been listening to the album prior to recording this?
It's really fucking good stuff so no matter really where the influences come from!

Nik will become famous soon enough
Awesome stuff, as usual

Yeah, the keys over the heavy chugga-chugga guitars make me think Awake-era-DT, but the riffage still has a very distinct quality. Awesome job

Hey dormant, well i DO love sikth AND death of a dead day, so they are definitely influences, tho i wasnt actively going for that feel, hope it still sounds somewhat original hahah!

Oh and btw no keys here, still being lazy and just using guitars for everything, but i know i need to get into that stuff, twould be fun!

Awesome as usual mate, you sure do know how to get tone out of a pod!

Main riff does sound death of a dead day esque, but not in a ripoff way at all!

Good job!
