This is the lowest tuning my 7 could take

Updated mix below
This is in drop D you know, the one a full octave down from standard! I used a .068 for my 7th string. Holy crap the intonation is not as bad as i though it would be.

You can go much lower than that, . I'd think somewhere in the area of SubContra would be sufficient.

All joking aside, that's low as hell. But it's lacking attack. I'd love to hear more of this, if the guitars had more "umpf".

^^ like that.

Holy .... i didnt know rammstien was so awesome! I think most of the attack is lost in the flabbiness but ill keep trying. Im going to try Lepou's lecto when i have time so we will see. THanks.

That's Meshuggah remixing the Rammstien song.

You might wanna hit up Garry Goodman (octave4plus.com), he makes bass E and bass B strings for regular guitars. He could probably make you something for tuning to D with no problem.

You're going to need a 30" to get any sort of tone using a 68.

Still sounds like a bass to me.
I hate the wanking you added, (my personal opinion of course).

Without the wanking, and a much "punchier" guitar tone, and I'd absolutely play this in my truck, driving through the ghetto.
