I suppose since he bent a few times and straight up jacked a breakdown from ATB's A Steady Decline, that makes it sumerianish? And some diminished shit makes it tech?
nope. |

wtf is sumeriancore? can we just make up genres like that? cool song nonetheless.
![]() and as someone else pointed out, i can see how this doesn't quite fit the "tech death" description, but i can also see why you would call it that.
"... and on either side of the river was the tree of life. The leaves of this tree were for the healing of nations." "He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle and the herb for the service of man." "Lifes too short to hate Floyd Roses." |

^ Sumeriancore's made up but it's generally used to describe music that sounds like Sumerian Records' staple bands like BoO, VoM, AtB, CoC, and early TF, etc. I didn't make it up though.
I made it pretty clear that I don't care about the genre of this song though. ss.org; we're all like... 'I liek pajh riff eerie!' |

Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, After the Burial, Circle of Contempt, and The Faceless. I guess one would call Within the Ruins sumeriancore too even though they were around before any sumerian band.

Ahh okay. Yea I've heard some of those names. I may have even met The Faceless (or someone w/ a name ridiculously close to that) once... I'm not entirely sure, though.

Oh so I'm a dick? Never heard that from a dude before.
Criticism- Why is anyone stressing the subgenre's? Because that's the only way we could figure out what youre going for, which as myself and drewsif stated, It isn't really sumerianish, besides the cliche bending, or even remotely close to technical death metal. Since it was an "original work" I'd say if you're going to create somthing, be creative. |

The last breakdown reminds me of the breakdown in A Steady Decline- After The Burial.

bends aren't cliche, it was the manner and placement of them that made them cliche IMO . |
