Cool song, too... I don't know if it's me, but the vocals seem not to be perfectly in the mix. Dunno, it just sound very rough, and far away.

Reminds me a bit of Sick Puppies... which is a good thing! The vocals could probably use a little more compression though, and the drums are possibly a little too compressed, at least the cymbals which have kind of a pumping quality to them...

hey man, VERY rockin mix dude, and the band reminds me of an uber heavy STP!

great stuff Sliggy! My only complaint...maybe do a little Melodyne/Auto tune magic on ONLY those "few" sour notes the vocalist hits here and there, and this would be delicious golden cheddar my man!!!

usually i'm not big on auto tune type stuff, but just a subtle use on a couple parts can't hurt.

again, awesome dude!

oh, and btw...i posted this Meshuggah cover, right? and i'm sitting there goin...where the hell...? where is Sliggy with the friggin snare bashing!?, hahaha! i was like, "when the "F" is Sliggy gonna realize, and then comment on how thin my snare is on this mix!?" (hahaha,

haha I'm the vocalist, and I like the sour notes because we want every song to have a live / rough / true rock kinda feel. I appreciate the criticism though, and I do realize I'm not the perfect singer :P

uhhh...maybe i should have read the thread a little closer before posting that comment

...for some reason i had it in my head that this was a band you recorded, i'm just gonna go finish my other foot over there in that dark corner now!

(i could have just covered my bases by saying that it was a payback joke for the snare...but i can't lie :p)
hey, honestly though, it's not that i felt the vocals were bad at all dude, i just thought there were a few notes that could have been hit better, and i also respect the fact that you want to go raw with it...i'm the same way with my screams. if you listen to "Calloused 2.0" you will hear that there are no real effects or anything on there, just the rawness of the screams and the natural gain from the mic etc. (minus compression and eq of course) but that is why i said that i'm not a huge fan of auto tune etc...because you lose that natural sound of the human voice, ya know.

on another note...HELL YEA STP DUDE! you don't hear it...but i did say "an uber heavy version!" meaning, a "br00tAl" STP. again though man, i really dug it!
