i definintly hear that SikTh in there. Groovy and heavy as hell. production wise im really liking that guitar tone. Drums are pretty damn good as well, what are they? the slidly part at the end was sick. overall kick ass mix and song

Mix isn't all that great. Separation between instruments is pretty poor and the levels are all out of whack. Scoop out the mid range of that kick drum a bit, turn that snare down.
Do you check your mixes in mono? Doesn't sound like you do. Checking in mono is a good way to see if levels are seriously out of whack.
Cymbal is panned to the right slightly too much IMO, center it a tiny bit more.

Guitar tone is fairly good, but unfortunately it's kinda buried underneath all that snare.
Keep referencing your mixes to professional mixes.
Obviously you're going for a SikTh sound, so it wont be a bad idea to compare your mixes to Death of a Dead Day, since that's an amazing production with a great mix and great guitar tone/bass tone/drum sounds.
Song is pretty cool dude, would love to hear a longer composition

Hope this helps

Sounds awesome dude. Definitely reminds me of SikTh.

The only thing that sounds weird to me is the snare. It seems to loud and sounds like there is a ton of reverb on it or somethin.

Other then that you have an awesome tone! The more I hear of Pod Farm the more I think about gettin a Toneport...

I don't think the mix is that bad at all... in headphones, that is. Be sure to reference through real monitors as well as the cans. Getting one perfect in one, will leave the other in a sad state. Honestly, I like the drums to dominate the mix a bit, but I agree the snare has to come down... and perhaps get another snare. Cool stuff though!

Thanks for all the feedback and tips! Will try all of them. I agree about the snare now that I've listened to it a bit. It's superior 2.0. The problem I keep having all the time is getting the snare to kinda "pop" out in the mix, but not so that it's disturbingly high as it is now. I should do some more surgical work ^^ I'll purchase the slate samples someday soon I hope.

Slate is good, but you have to bear in mind, they come SOOO pre-mixed that you should stick to what you have for now and really learn to mix drums.
Best thing to do, is to ask guys for their drum tracks of real, actual drums and learn to mix them.
Then by the time you get Slate, you'll be able to hear more subtleties and can work with the Slate drums more effectively

i don't like the snare, the whole "pong-pong-pong-pong" thing is annoying.

It's my Schecter C-7 Blackjack Again, I totally agree about that snare hahaha! The patch is a dual tone consisting of two big bottom amps with similar cabs with different mics. The dynamic and the off axis one. The cabs are the V30 ones.
