Hows my tone?

hey guys. tonight i sat home doin nothing(cuz that's what kool kats do) and i got so bored that i was struck by the idea to write, what is known in the metal community as, a radio tune. so far i've just got a simple idea recorded.

the riff is called "radio"

www.myspace.com/lokoproduktions

i want to know what you dudes think of the guitar tone and sound aswell as the riff itself.

it was done using my trusty old rg7420 and my crappy flextone 1 hd.

let me know whatcha think

Tone is kinda harsh and scratchy for me, but then again, I'm listening to it on some crappy laptop speakers.

i hope that's the reason it sounds like that(for my sake). i've been workin really hard to get the crappy flextone hd to have halfway decent tone. like i wanted the open strings to have a punchy yet beefy tone. maybe i should lower the volume on the track panned in the middle

Heavy n' Fuzzy. If that's what you were going for, then you made it . It suits whatever you were playing, so its good.

Orchestra Futuristica. Good work on that piece man! I liked it a lot. What did you use to make that?

its not really a traditional tone, but i dig it. get some banging drums behind that riff and you got yourself a start of a sick song.

thanks dude. i recorded orchestra futuristica with just a casio keyboard from radio shack and a lot of patience since this was before i discovered a metronome . i think i forgot to take the delay effect off so all 17 instrument tracks have a little pan delay on them.
