A wee on the bassy side, or maybe it's your amp clipping. Kick the bass and gain down a touch and compliment it with an actual bassline, and I think you'll have a winner.

thats true. but it just doesnt have the tonal range that my spider 2 has. i think the flex I is perfect for this style of music, which is why i used it to record this track, but anytime i want to record an in-your-face SYL style track i gotta bring out the spider 2 HD. 1 day i will have a Flex II HD so my sound needs will be met

i think its probably just the bass since i dont use much distortion. i can barely hear the bass though. i lowered it down a lot after recording it so it would be very subtle and not stand out. guess i gotta go back and change shit around thanks to you, ass :b

I haven't had any trouble finding a brutal heavy tone with mine. Not saying it'll sound anything like Devin's rig but neither will a Spider II. But the Flextone HD has it's share of brutality.

Tweak some of these patches and see what you get.

i'm not saying i want devins tone. i'm saying in order to play that "chaotic" style, i need the spider 2. i guess i gotta play around with the flex's settings a bit more. thanks for the link. im gonna get to tweakin right away

EDIT: I just adjusted some of the tracks and re-uploaded it. tell me what you think of this mix. i hope you're happy chris
