NEW HEAVY ROUGH CLIP WITH NEW RHYTHM SOUND!! (Podxt, Dfhs, Emg707)

Hey guys i know its been a while!
So yeah i havent really had time for a whole lot of writing lately, but my guitarist left his ltd h207 at my house, and it has a 707 in it. the thing makes the most perfect rhythm sound ever imho. So i made a really short simple clip (couldnt do much more since i had work the next day..) to show the new rhythm sound off!

check it out here and let me know whatcha think: http://www.soundclick.com/pro/view/0...ng&songID=3991 649

or it just plays by default at www.soundclick.com/bulb

b

PS: on a semi unrelated note, i finally have a gig with my band Periphery! Its going to be at the Firehouse Cue in Gaithersburg, MD on June 24th and we start at 10PM!!

If you're referring to "Seven Hundred Seven", that sounds tight as all hell! Killer production!

Dude, awesome as always

On a side-note, would you mind sharing what kind of settings you are using with your PodXT? My guitar is totally different, but still, it might give me a base to work off...

Nik, i am using the bigbottom model gain at 6.5 with the v30 cab and the 421 dynamic mic
fx boost + eq stomp
gain at 4
mid at 8.5 and mid freq at 5
and the other settings vary on the song and the mix
the only thing is that its a pretty lame sound on its own, but in the mix and with my post eqs on the guitar master track it sounds a lot better!

mastodon:
i dont have any full albums out, and i dont really plan on recording one until im on a label since i dont want to undermine the music i have planned for the first cd by officially releasing pre-record contract. So basically in the meantime, feel free to dload all the songs and make as many "cds" as you want, all i ask in return is that you spread the word hehe! And someday not too far away ill record the final versions of each song for a cd which will be sold. In the meantime i am working on rerecording 5 songs for a demo which we will sell for very very cheap (just to cover costs) and to go label shopping with!

Hey man, thanks a lot for sharing, I REALLY appreciate it!
