Switzerland's foreign minister on Monday broke with the country's tradition of studiously discrete diplomacy by raising the possibility of direct talks with Osama bin Laden to tackle global terrorism.

Clearly this is a trick, they get him on the phone and then BAM! They track him back to a phone box in Wales and cherry bomb the area.

Otherwise I don't see how it can do much help.

I wouldn't want to kill him at all. I think a life sentence in a 2'x2' box (standing only) in a sleep deprivation environment with medical staff on hand sounds 10 times better. Keep him alive and VERY uncomfortable...for EVAR!

According to Wikipeida, which isn't a be all end all source of course, the CIA officially stopped looking for him in 2005.

You can't expect them to be omnipotent but I'm also in the school of thought that beleives that agencies such as the CIA and FEMA have more knowledge and control over the nation than our figure heads do, and feed them whatever info they see fit. At least that's how it seems much of the time.

My point was, we're not totally ignorant to what bin Laden is up to, we've been following him for many many years, but now that he's in Pakistan, we'll be hard pressed to get him.

Sure they might know somethings, but they ain't telling us anything of any real use and what they do know is often from flawed, flaky unreliable sources such as double agents. We really don't have any idea what is happening in say, Waziristan or much of Iran. If our Government knew what was happening in pre-war Iraq, what would we have needed weapons inspectors for? We would have known what we needed to know, right? Do you get my point at all? They thrive on feeding us lies and misrepresentation. That kind of arrogance is fueled by ignorance and elitism. If we as a nation really understood how the government HATES us and undermines everyone's interests, we would all riot in the streets. Greed, gluttony and all the other sins keeps us fat and lazy. We are in the midst of a war because lies and corporate greed. That is the kind of self righteous bullshit that gets the US hated by even our allies. Maybe I'll just do some cheap Afgani heroin that is flooding our streets and try to forget all this crap.
