Howard Dean On Fox News Sunday: Your Coverage Is "Shockingly Biased" (VIDEO) - Politics on The Huffington Post

DEAN: No, I think it was the right thing to do, because there are some things in the news department that have really been shockingly biased and I think that's wrong and I just say so right up front. It is important also for us -- we shouldn't punish the viewers of Fox by staying away. Now those viewers have had an opportunity to look at the debates on other channels, now they're going to have an opportunity viewing on this channel and I think that's fair.

A classic case of one brave man saying out front what everyone has been thinking for a LONG time.

I love Howard Dean. He's a breath of fresh air in this era of bullshit politics.

I'm less enamored with him than I used to be - he's gone from being a party outsider to being the quintessential insider since the 2000 campaigns.

That said, I find that statement absolutely shocking. Dean was on Fox? Like, as a guest? They invited him?

That's kind of what I thought. Of all the Democrats, they picked the one with a tendency to open his mouth...

That said, he is somewhat of an insider these days. But, he still has that fun little tendency to do exactly this sort of thing.

I'm pretty sure they invited him thinking that they could tar and feather him on national television. You know, like they tried to do to Bill Clinton last year.

I heard a interview with him on NPR. They were asking him if the prolonged race between Hillary and Obama was hurting the Dem party, and instead of answering any of the questions put before him he decided to just bash McCain and the GOP

They cut him off after he did that for 3 questions in a row...

Can you blame him for dodging the question, though? Since Obama is the frontrunner, saying "yes it is" is testament to implicitly asking Hillary to drop out, as the alternative is thinking the chairman of the DNC wants to hurt the Democratic party. He's a politician, and one in a position where for the time being at least he has to be outwardly neutral. Gunning for McCain is sort of a meta-solution for a problem where he's damned if he does or damned if he doesn't. The interviewer should have gotten the hint, you know...?
