Bush greeting pope in big way - CNN.com

aside of all the hilarity of the the guy who carries 1/6 of the world's moral high ground (along with the respect of many more) meeting with the guy who hell was created for, i found the last paragraph of the story the most interesting.

Pope Benedict is here more to appeal to American Catholics then he is schmooze with old W. Notice that he is skipping the big fancy pants dinner. Bush is just playing politics because with a potentially heated election coming up the last thing the GOP wants to do is piss of Catholics.

even being an athiest, if i could choose, i'd rather choose to meet with the Pope than dubya. but then, that's like choosing between having dinner with an intelligent human being versus a snotty 4 year old.
