| Well I’m looking at it from a different point of view. At this time it’s silly to have only two rival companies going up against each other buying the rights to broadcast certain events/sports. I’m all for the merger if it will improve the content and make it a better service. I’m not worried about having to buy a new receiver down the road. These things are like cell phones, you need to upgrade just to get the latest improvements. I know in the long run it’s not good for the consumers when things like this happen, but it’s just the two of them and I can’t see how this will impact the listener too much. I really enjoy satellite radio and I’m all for better and additional programming. I never listen to normal anymore! |

| Well that's the thing, Pete - it WON'T improve content. There are no immediate plans for listeners with one platform to be able to access the other outside vague talk of a a la carte scheme where down the road XM listeners may be able to get a program or two from Sirius for an added fee. So, I'm left wondering, if they're the same platform, why then do we not combine programming and distribute on both? Not just a program ehre or there, but the whole thing? It's a big queston, and I don't like the implications. |

| I realize it won’t happen over night but I think eventually they will “merge” the programming which in the end should improve the content. Honestly I’m pretty happy with my service through Sirius as it is now but if it does improve it’s just a bonus for me. I guess time will tell. |

| I love my Sirius to death. Hard Attack is way better than XM's Liquid Metal. Now if only they can improve the sound quality... It sounds like a 96kbps MP3 that was ripped from a burnt CD. | Here's my prediction: One of them (probably Sirius) will be discontinued with little to no warning.
