Commentary: Florida, Michigan don't deserve revote - CNN.com

No. Enough. Let's end this madness and tell Florida and Michigan that they had their shot. They blew it. It's time to move on and let the people who know how to play by the rules get on with this process. They made their bed. Now sleep in it.

And the people in Michigan and Florida should throw out the bums who stiffed them. Somebody must pay for the sins of these two states, and they should look to the politicians who keep running their mouths on TV demanding a revote.

They should just split the delegates 50/50 and call it a day.

for michigan that is fine, but for florida it isn't. The Republican controlled state legislature forced all the primaries to be on the same day and to be on the republican date. the democrats tried to shift theirs to feb5, but it didn't work, the ammendment got shot down by the republicans in the legislature. If we do it like that guy says we just made the republican's game work. Revote would be a better way.

That is the way to handle it. Make it very clear to the citizens of Florida that their duly elected, representitive goverment is responsible for their loss of primary votes. The solution is what Roland said: vote the bums out. If the DNC caves in, then they give Republican controlled state governments everywhere the power to manipulate the Democratic primary system. That is completely unacceptable.

THe whole american electoral process is harder to learn than the rules of cricket...

We have a two party system. Each party fields a presidential candidate.

Before the general election between the two parties, the parties hold primary elections among themselves to determine who will be their presidential candidate.

The states are not supposed to have their primaries before February 5th, but Florida and Michigan both jumped the line in an attempt to win more influence.

The Democratic National Committee is now punishing Michigan and Florida by removing their delegates.
