Recognising Kosovo as a independent state seems calculated to rile Serbia. The race to recognise Croatia didn't help in avoiding the Balkan civil war back in the early 1990's, it just added fuel to the fires of ethnic division.

Spain are obviously opposed because it could legitimise Basque separatist claims and likewise Sri Lanka and the Tamil Tigers.

And what about Kashmir. And Burma. And Chechnya. And Alsace-Lorraine. And Quebec.

And so the list goes on...

Ya know when people want to fight in the name of race or religion... I just say fuck it let them fight. But its really sad to see the people who just want to live their lives and stay out of it get killed or force out or their home. Everybody over there needs to be kicked in the nuts untill they chill the fuck out. It's times like this that makes you realize how primitive the human race really is... Sad....
