The thing is, the government had to use public/unclass shit, for the most part, to do it. There certainly is technology that would make this a no brainer, but it's not like the US could suddenly bust out the George Jetson Epic Fucking Death Ray and smoke the thing from some dude's Blackberry and say "Erm.. Ignore that, other-governments. *whistle*".

though wouldnt that be somewhat beneficial for the US who, if i remember correctly (which i probably dont ) got its feathers a bit ruffled when China tested out anti satellite missiles, making this a good opportunity to show China that American anti satellite is superior, or something like that.. i dunno i just woke up and im rather ill
