I'm sure people are terrified of the government in any country where revolutions happen, that's kind of the point. I feel bad for the dude, going to die because he likes to get his drink on, I was just thinking out loud. And even when you factor in the religious aspect, the church usually supported the ruling person in the old days, so I don't even know if it's the whole "Allah will .... me up if we ditch these assholes" mentality causing it. Maybe if we leave them alone long enough they WILL revolt, who knows.

Time will tell, but they have had a few thousand years to think about it, maybe it's well overdue. I think it's symbolic, as if rebelling was in insult to god, because it's sort of a disobedience. They are living by their "holy book" afterall.

Not that it makes it right, but to them, that's how they are.

I actually think that for the most part, the iranians seem like a decent people, its just their representatives and leaders that make the country come off as a bunch of crack pots(that they didnt even get to elect i dont think)
