To be honest, i think any body that is religious (esspically to the level they are in the middle east) is mentally ill.

you know, this religious ilness is not just in the middle east, its the eastern side of the world porblem. since the dawn of civilisations there, the connection between the people and their religious symbols and icons is extreme. you change the faith but this relation stays.

I tend to find it irritating when different news networks report different statistics on the same story they're covering, but this takes the biscuit...

I dunno man, in the early 50's and 60's some countries in the middle east, like Iraq where a lot more secular. For example my dad was born in Baghdad and he belonged to both a socialist group and an atheist group in Iraq with a large following.

These days that would be unheard of. Fanatical religion has taken over.

I'm sorry, but how is that not the case with the 'west' too? You seem rather eager to pigeonhole everywhere that isn't America as a religiously extreme. I'd hardly call Japan or Korea religiously extreme.

Yep. And the western world had everything to do with it. If it is one thing that that Britain, France, and America like to do, it is stick their nose in the Middle East.

because jewdisim and christianity islam are from the same region, based on the same one only god.and 3 of them are connected to each others one way or another. 2nd if you read the relation between ancient iraqy civilisations (too many to mention) egyptians and so on ( both mentioned as an example) you will know what i mean. japan and korea not as extreme because maybe you forgot after the 2nd world war they were under the american influence, before that every one knew how extreme were the japanese.

Examples please. You've totally avoided the question with vague reference and smoke, but you're complete inability to spell the names of countries and religions suggests you really don't have a clue what you are talking about.

well, its 12:30pm here, i got job tomorow, 2nd, forgive my inability to spell anything, the world is lacking smart people like you. maybe you can try to be our hero and the last thing i can do now is to give history lesson about ancient mesopotamia.
the best living example is to talk to an eastern christian , lets say from arabia and a christian from europe and check their responces for the same question/s you would ask , or muslim from arabic country and muslim from the balkan for example. im not saying its 100%, im talking about the general cultural and heritage of each country and region.
good night for now
