You're forgetting that there were Democrats in the Oval Office during this time period, and several Democrat controlled Congresses too. Neither flavor of Republicrat will help any inequity and any government intervention to "make things equal" historically, world-wide, lead to bigger abuses. The best you can hope for is a government that will actually abide by the Constitution, quit trying to shaft the middle class and stop sucking up >50% of our income in taxes.

This kinda reminds me of the WIC program we have down here. (Women, infants, and children.) IF you qualify, one can get eggs, milk, formula, bread, other essentials for free if you have a kid or pregnant. The gov'ment pays for it. I've heard it's kinda like Welfare, but not. I also heard from someone I work with that someone she knows -who make like $50,000 a year, and who's married- uses the WIC program, when they are perfectly able to pay for there own food! What's worse yet is that someone I know, who's a whore, likes to fuck with no rubbers. Well, long story short, shes prego and is going to keep it. Pisses me off! She already has a kid that she can barely take care of and then she says that "I'm 27, it's about time to have another kid anyway." WTF! Granted I live in Hickville USA and people around here are dumb as rocks, still, nobody seems to care or think about what they are doing anymore.
And I have to pay for others stupidity!
I really don't like the mindset of people in this country.

No I didn't forget these things. You see Ray Democrats and Republicans are now only seperated by the thinnest of margains. Both are beholden to the same masters. Neither will seriously challenge corporate power or dare to slash military spending.

Let us not forget that Michael Moore once referred to Bill Clinton as one of our best Republican Presidents. He signed NAFTA, cut money for education and in general was very conservative economically. Clinton folded on national health care. He really pushed for no sweeping liberal reforms. Lots of Democrats hold Clinton up as this great liberal Democrat. He wasn't.

Why not? Personally, I'm in favor of removing all remaining restrictions from large corporations, allowing them to decimate the middle class and finally separate society in the haves and have nots. Sounds like a great idea.
