Heh. Their "proof" is one book, edited by some guy named James. Anything that disagrees with that is obviously wrong, and an error made by scientists. No amount of reminding them that the church used to insist the world is flat--thus prooving that religion is also falable--will do anything to change thier opinions. Faith is the answer to everything.

I always used to wonder why most religions make such a big deal about children, why child-like faith in considered so ideal. Now I know. It is because you can control people who will take things on faith alone. I used to be punished for questioning why certain things are the way they are, for not taking the Bible on faith. Faith is the enemy of reason, and the suppressor of curriosity. Columbus didn't sail across the Atlantic Ocean on faith. Faith didn't help Galaleo describe the workings of our solar system. No faith was involved in designing the internal combustion engine. Faith didn't put a man on the moon. Real progress comes from hard work and dedication.

Faith has been there every step of the way, standing in the way. Faith led the Trojans to lead a large wooden horse into their city. Faith led Mohammed to lead his new faithful on numerous wars of conquest. Faith made the Catholic Church torture and murder tens of thousand of innocent victims. Faith has been the reason to trample on the civil rights of women, minorities, homosexuals, and even those of differing faiths, since the begining of recorded hostory, right through today. Faith put an incompetent, petty tyrant at the head of the greatest nation in the world, and faith stood idelly by as he ran it into the ground. I'm talking about bush with the last one, but hey, you could replace his name with dozens of other examples throughout history.
