i suppose it beats carrying around a shotgun full of lead shot

but, i'm 100% sure that someone will raise hell about it, because someone doesn't understand that it's not the taser, but the quick-triggered, uneducated cop that is going to end up killing someone with it.

I got ten bucks that says we hear a story about some over zealous cop using one of these things at point blank range (and likely leading to a death or chronic injury) within the first 6 months of deployment.

I can see this being helpful if the police were chasing say... A bank robber... Or someone other kind of legit fugitive who's getting away...
