Don't even try to charge more for viewing certain parts of the internet. That's deplorable beyond words. It'll be interesting to see what the corporate giants have to say about it though, as it's tech companies (MS and Google) versus the telecom monopolies like AT&T. Thoughts? |

 | Just what I've already said- that it's absolute bullshit. As it is, we already pay a premium for faster access - Cable DSL is more expensive than 56k, etc. All of the supposed "benefits" of two-tiered access that the Justice Department lauds would come out in the wash anyway due to simple supply-and-demand connection-level service packages - if you value faster access, pay for a faster connection, and if you don't take the cheaper package. It already exists - there's no possible gain to be had from separating the net itself into two tiers, save for allowing the service providers to charge more money for the same service that currently exists. Net neutrality = win. Corporate greed = need I say more. "...and everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon." |
