Not to underestimate the Syrian issue, this smells of BS, to me.

You'd be surprised of how extreme propaganda tends to be in the 'arab' world... It's often so ridiculously cheesy and unbelievable that it comes around full circle and becomes truth.

I mean, what kind of government would issue something like this?.. Has to be true.

I'm skeptical, it might very well be true, but I would like some more compelling evidence than a couple of douches in sweatpants and hearsay.

I have friends in Syria, and they say it's as bad as portrayed on the news. I'm not one to trust this stuff but it's getting ridiculous.

If you knew the Syrian government you'd know how unorthodox and corrupt they are. My mom recalls here days in college in Lebanon. She told me that if anyone said a thing about the Syrian government they'd torture the hell out of them and in some cases killed them.

I'm sorry if i've offended, somehow - as mentioned, i do live in Israel and have, in fact, 'met some'.
In the spirit of full disclosure, i also live in a city that has an arab majority, in an all-arab neighborhood. Arab culture is great - but Arab governments are, well, funny like that.

The thing is, i don't think claiming a viable possibility is a broad stroke - i saw fit to mention that it's been known to happen since, well, it happened.

When the Palestinian government started lying in the most stupid of ways i kept on thinking 'damn, all you need to see it's BS is to send someone over!', then i remembered that the Israeli government wouldn't let anyone in in the first place, so no one's 'over'.
Same goes for Iran, isn't it? How long did it take to 'authorize' UN inspectors?
Or Egypt? How many foreign forces were in Egypt when this latest fuss started? And now 'rumors' have it that they fabricated the elections.
And Syria? How many foreigners in Syria?
I thought it was ridiculous when the Palestinians did it.
Then i thought it was downright weird when Iran did it. Then came Egypt and Syria and i started seeing a pattern.

OK, on the off chance that this was misinterpreted -
I'm not claiming the Syrian people are lying. It's quite obvious, at this point, that the government is committing crimes against it's own people.
What i am saying is that it doesn't take a bunch of scary, pumped, bad tempered clones to kill people - All you need is a handgun - so i'm thinking this particular story might be bogus.

And, 'blasphemous'?.. Blasphemy is a term usually related to religion or belief, and i hope these two have nothing to do with the topic at hand...
I do accept your statement on politics, though.

The government of Syria hasn't issued anything, do you know what's happening is Syria ? Do you know that 97% of the Syrian population is now against the government ? That number was issued from the people who are actually living through it.

Yeah, I get your point. What these guys are hired to do is the dirty work, they go into towns and rape woman and shoot people at pointblank. I guess it's kinda of stupid to believe but again what the Syrian government is doing to it's people defies intelligence.

The Daily Fail is a rag of a paper, you just have to look at the related stories on the right hand side to see that, I used to think it was decent but its terrible fear mongering shite of late.

This story reminds me of the tale from the 1st Iraq war, of Saddam's soldiers pulling babies from incubators in Kuwait, and tossing them to the floor to die.
Propaganda that was re-cycled for Syria recently with Assads men cutting power to incubators killing 20 or so babies..or so it was claimed...pulling on the heart strings of the people...FOR GODS SAKE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!

Steroids? No... Fat Arabs who lift weights? Yes.
