Don't get me wrong. I am about as skeptical of Bush as they come, and I thoroughly disapprove of not only his policies, but his deceptions, double talk, you name it. And I recognize alot of what he says for the self-serving bullshit it really is. Since I started out supporting him originally, and the whole Iraq debacle, ensued, after 9/11, I basically felt betrayed by him.

But dammit if I don't agree with this, even if it is a bit of political rhetoric.

1. More people die every year by far from crime, AIDS, drugs, poverty, you anme it, than everyone who died on 9/11. I don't for a minute buy completely into this whole "War on Terror' hullabaloo. But, facts are facts - some evil scum-sucking fucking bastards do hate us, and did attack us, and killed lots of innocent people. Those fucks need brought to justice.
2. You gotta be smoking crack if you think the Democrats don't feel exactly the same way. Fucking Rove and his distortions to try to say the Democrats don't love America. At least Bush is (finally!) publically acknowledging the facts that Democrats are Americans and Patriots, too. If nothing else.


Of course, he says Iraq is the "central front of the war on terror" in the next breath, which is nonsense. (Or at least, used to be. If it really is now, well, it's beacsue he made it that!)

For some reason I read that quote as , "Just beause the American people voted my party out of power and voted in a bunch of tree hugging faggots, we're still going to kick your ass."

That being said we should bring Bin Laden and his cronies to justice. It's a crime that the neo-cons got us bogged down in Iraq for their own pathetic reasons and that Bin Laden is still a free man 5 years after the crime.
