Yeah, it's legit and now confirmed by the NTC and NATO. I would have preferred him being captured and put on trial. But I'm sure he would have ended up being sentenced to death anyways. It just sucks that now that he has been killed, a lot of state secrets and important information about Libyan affairs will go to the grave with him.

I'm happy for them, getting rid of a dictator that's been in control for so long and with such a bad history is definitely something to be happy about.

However, I'm growing a bit concerned because so far we now have a destabilized Afghanistan, Iraq, Egypt, and Libya.

He was killed by rebels, not Western forces. I think they simply wanted him dead and weren't too fussed either way. He probably would have been executed eventually anyway. Besides it's too late for the West to hide the truth, it's common knowledge we've all warmed up to Gaddafi even just before the rebellion. There are still plenty of documents lying around that people are going through.

Im not going to get into an argument about it but the MEDIA says he was killed by rebels. I really dont want to get into a long winded debate but for you especially hunt through my facebook and check out some of the articles i posted, not everythings what they say it is.

Can you post these articles? I'm not seeing any. I haven't seen any evidence implying that he was killed by Western forces. Most of his country hates him and so it seems unsurprising he was killed by his own people.
