Aren't stem cells harvested from in vetro embryos that don't take? I.e - were never conceived in the first place, and couldn't possibly turn into real humans anyway?

What, fucknuts or not "living" embryos? I believe the 60 lines in existance are not, and there have been no plans thus far to include "living" embryos in stem cell research (nor is it likely any will ever be proposed).

yeah, I'm clearly no expert, but if I remember correctly, when they do an artificial insemination, they must fertilize a dozen eggs or so, in hopes of 1 good one. Often times there's more than 1 good one of course, and the others are thrown away. Those that are thrown away, are the ones that are used in stem cell research.

"Has Rev. Jerry Falwell removed his cranium from his anus before the commencement of his statement?"


As mentioned above, there is virtually no chance of these embryos ever becoming human life, why let them go to waste when they could potentially be saving lives?

My biggest problem with the guy is somehow he thinks he's a scientific authority. I mean, this story is filed in the "Biotechnology" section of Yahoo news, not "Faith and Religion," or their comics section.

I'm glad for Jerry Falwell's existance for one sole reason - so that in response to his "AIDS is God's way of punishing homosexuals" comment, Al Frankin could quip "Homosexuals are God's way of punishing Jerry Falwell." He's made his joke, and Falwell has outlived his usefulness - solely for the above comment I feel justified in saying that I hope he gets AIDS and dies. He's the only person I can say that and mean it about.
