It's unavoidable that political and war/current event discussions come up, so here's a forum to discuss them in. This forum will be VERY heavily moderated, so if posts disappear, please don't start new threads asking why your thread was closed/deleted/etc. Be civil. This isn't Off-Topic. Don't post whore in here, keep the conversations on topic and any insulting/flaming/etc will result in a closed thread and possible suspensions.

In the past, threads on religion, war and politics have lead to some very nasty flamefests, and if you're thinking on lashing out at someone or if someone's posted something completely inappropriate, just use the report post feature and someone will handle it.

Again...

Use the report post feature if someone is out of line and a moderator will handle it.

Do not post off-topic nonsense in this forum.

You do not have to agree with anyone but respect their views and opinions. If you can't present a counterpoint in a civil manner, just don't post.

I hate sounding like a forum nazi like some kind of powertripping admin and all that bullshit, but we WILL hand out bans if people start throwing insults around. Additionally anyone post whoring in here will have their access to this forum removed. We're a community. As a whole we're a jolly bunch of metal bastards, but this type of conversation tends to bring out some very differing viewpoints. Respect your fellow musicians and their points of view, even if they vary from yours.

Basically the whole mod team is going to hang me for making this forum, so do me a favor and don't make me look like an asshole.
