TK frets don't have tangs, though, do they? I thought they used a round piece of wire and sunk half of it into the fretboard the way Chapman does on the Stick.

They are 2.6mm tall, and 4.3 mm wide.
Obviously, they are meant for touchstyle instruments, but you could do a Pyramid crown on them........it would take a while, but Rome wasn`t built in a day either

Ive always wanted something bigger then 6100's. I really dont know why they dont have them. Well I havent seen any fret suppliers with anything bigger. Except these touchstyle frets. It seems like it would be easier then scalloping and you wouldnt have to mess with your inlays to get it done to your guitar.

Try to exclude the possibility of suffering which the order of nature and the existence of free-wills involve, and you find that you have excluded life itself.

Dunlop 6100 extra high Jumbo Fretwire

Zoom:
  • Type: Extra high jumbo
  • Width: 2,79mm
  • Hight: 1,40mm
  • Batch: 24
  • Material: Nickel
Damn any bigger than this and you'll have to feather touch it so as not to bend the note!

You can get dunlop 6000's, readily available and much bigger than 6100's and feel great too, you really get a scalloped feel with them.

Such pain, I must help...deepen it
