Pickup Advice needed for Maple neckthrough+Mahogany Wings
Going to get an Agile Septor 727 and would like to replace the pickups in it. I am looking at a few combinations from dimarzio and SD. The guitar is a maple neck through with mahogany wings. TOM bridge with string through and maple board.
I feel its time for me to try out some SDs. I was looking for a really nice crunchy and tight bass in the bridge position with a nice les paul like neck tone - every smooth. It has been recommended to me that the Custom with a 59-N is the way to go. Any advice? Any other suggestions? |

Anyone have clips of the 59 vs Jazz? I really can't make up my mind. The jazz sounds better on the SD website but I have been told the 59 is the one thats smoother with those LP neck pup like tone.

You can Check Duncan Distortion for Raw and wild ,or Custom for controlled and punchy tone. It's Like Mitsurugi (DD) vs Hwang (DC) Or Kenpachi (DD) Vs Toussen (DC)....Hopefully you got my point ![]() ![]() What you can do is Getting a Custom ,buying some Hex screws (good ones). You loose some bottom ,but you get ebtter harmonics ,definition and punch!(It#s allmost a FullShred )... Cheers bro! |
