![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Now I have my work cut out for me... ![]() so this comes to my bench - this poor 7620RB was unfortunately at the receiving end of my bass player's temper tamtrum, and now he'd like me to patch humpty dumpty back together again. Body was cracked right in half, numerous missing chunks, a chip missing from the end of the fingerboard, and we'll remove the paint and "art", then refinish it someway - this is a good opportunity for me to do my first swirl job, or maybe flat black. <sigh> Man, this is going to be a lot of work (yes, I'm fully aware he should just buy a new body, but I want the challenge) ![]() ![]() ![]() Please be kind to snakes. They can't help it. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I had one like that years ago. The guy's girlfriend or wife tossed his Samick bass down the stairs. The guy reallky wanted it fixed, though. It meant something to him. Plus I think it meant something to the relationship to get it fixed. Maybe symbolically they "patched things up" and so did the bass. I think the bass was in 3 pieces, but I don't know. Anyway after the filler and refinish, it was good as new. Maybe this one's a candidate for a fabric top finish, or a wood veneer, or maybe even a thin sheet of drum covering! Seriously check out all the other pearls, satins, oysters, etc. Some of those would be awesome on the top of a guitar. |
