$425 dollars for Blackout 8s

Worth it you think? Could get lundgrens for that much but those i cant just swap in and id have to get a techy to do it and that costs like 80 fucking bucks at my GC. Im just not to fond of the 808s and i doubt blackouts can be anything other than an upgrade to those. Has anyone else gotten these made yet?

And its an 8 week wait to get made, which is like.....yeah a while

No fucking way I'm paying that much for pickups. Seriously, I doubt whatever you are putting them is worth that kind of expense. I'd want to get comfortable with the idea of 8-strings first. Who knows? In a year, you could be over eights, and then you're stuck with $425 worth of pickups.

Yeah but nothing is a phase with me, i stick to everything i do. I thought i wouldnt like sevens later on but as time goes on i liked them more. But yeah 425 is insane for pickups, i doubt ill get them. I just figured id ask to see if anyone has experience with them

Oh, I think Blackouts are better than EMGs. They're just not THAT much better. If I was spending that kind of money, I would be getting a fanned fret 8-string with Lungrens.

Way to high price but it's standard for SD CS pickups.

If you are wanting to play with different pickups, try EMGs bass pickups. I haven't had a change to really play with it, but most guitar pickups have a resonance of around 80hz, but bass pickups (from what I have seen) have a frequency of around 1.5khz-1.7khz.

somn is on a distinguished road
i got a pair of custom H-M live wires made a while ago cost me way more than that though, around 600 something sry cant reamber the exat amount at this moment they tweeked it out so much they told me it was hardly a h-m live wire anymore they tweeked the magnets, windings and wiring for my string gauge and tuning so i dont get all muffelly and stuff just pure low end and power from my tuning with massive distortion with clearity and diffintion i told them sounds like a miracle

the more the better

All that weed must be going to your head, man.;p
They really are better pickups, having heard them AB'ed through the same body wood and same amps in person.

Yeah, I'm with Ken, they are much better. I AB'd the Blackout Neck in the Bridge, the Blackout Bridge in the bridge and an EMG 707 in the bridge. The blackouts were much more responsive and had a better feel to them.
