Gimme some nonstandard pup recommendations for the rg350
Dimarzios. its basswood, and dimarzios are inexpensive. and sound better than anything else in silly antipeaky basswood.
HSH config So i want something different than my usual go-to choices ![]() Bridge: Evo Bridge, Evo2, X2N, Any Dactivator, Fred, Mo Joe Middle: Both Fast Tracks, superdistortion/airnorton/tonezone S, Both HS pups, and the YJM Neck: Fred, Mo Joe, Air Norton Id also like to keep it in the medium and high output ranges please. Suggestions? How would a norton work in the neck? I like it in the bridge, so maybe ill try that out. also particularly interested in the Super 2. Or an air zone. Gimme your best shot through. Bridge i was thinking maybe a breed, or a dsonic? again, suggestions. Middle, lookin alot like a cruiser bridge, or maybe a chopper. Feel free to suggest something though ![]()

Well, honestly, you didn't mention anything about actives... And EMG set perhaps? That could be an interesting change of pace!

-Dual D-Sonic, bars pointing opposite ways? (two very defined and distinctive sounds), Chopper in middle
-Or, for the real pickup connoisseur (my friend has this setup in one of his basswood RGs, it's a lot of fun if you don't mind mixing brands) Neck: Humbucker from Hell (Strat sound on steroids, great for fluid lead) Middle: Single-coil sized Duncan Duckbucker (quacky, funky, great for cleans, adds real versatility) Bridge: Bill Lawrence L-500XL (very distinctive sound) I'm a big fan of both, but the second one is a lot of fun in that it gives you a lot of very good sounds to choose from. It struck me as similar to the Music Man Steve Morse guitars in terms of tonal range. Even more so with a coil tap and/or 5-way superswitch. Be warned, though; the L500XL is pretty tall. |

+1 Great combo. Throw a Blue Velvet in the middle and you're set.
