okay well i have successfully installed my first floyd, now i just need some lube to put in the tremolo arm shaft. any recommendations?

chapstick is wax, not lube. it will soon cake-up as it starts to dry out, and will no longer lubricate. go with some UltraSlick PTFE. i bought myself a tube, lubed up my knife edges, and have NEVER had a problem with tuning stability

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,

I used synthetic valve oil before, because it was what was laying around and it was cheap. My edges never corroded, but the oil didn't last too long, either. Not reccomended.
