![]() | To remove paint/lacquer/clearcoat: a Heat Gun. Takes 20 min to do a full guitar body and headstock. First time gets a bit tricky as you'll likely leave a few burn spots on the wood while you get the hang of it, but if you're fast and careful, it is the cleanest and fastest, leaving no sanding/chemical marks or traces whatsoever. Just use some good gloves to prevent any burns and a scraper to help you take the paint off quickly. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I always use a fairly fine grit of paper (on the orbital) for material removal, just to give you more control on evenly sanding the piece without burning through too many layers and removing/reshaping the wood.
