Buy the Dunlop brand Lemon oil. The applicator tip makes it less messy than spray and it works like a charm!

Buy Dunlop Fretboard 65 Ultimate Lemon Oil online at Musician's Friend

It took me a while to realize that I had to press the tip down to get oil to seep onto the tip
But compared to the spray I was using previously, the Dunlop oil made my rosewood fretboard take on this absolutely beautiful dark hue...

TheMissing's GAScon status: GAScon 4... I'm doing pretty good at the moment.

woodwind bore oil is supposed to work well, too.

I use the Dunlop stuff, since it came in a big kit I got for Christmas. It makes ebony look absolutely stunning, with this deep, organic black color.

This is not helping your "I'm not gay" argument.

Don't feel bad man. The same thing happened to me . The Dunlop did the same to my fretboard.

ak33 is on a distinguished road
I've never used fretboard oil on my guitars. Why is it done? and what will happen if I don't oil my fretboard?
