FWIW, they way they are constructed, its a humbucker with double bar coils, and ceramic magnets, pretty much like a standard pickup just with the bars. think something that looks alot like an x2n. then put it in the casing, add a preamp, and fill it with epoxy

now that you mention that, I'm wondering if Emg will be considering making a standard sized 707 to compete with the blackouts, as a lot of people (im guessing) would go with the blackouts because it's more convenient (meaning less work, time and money)

its doubtful, but just a thought
