![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Blackouts are in! Thanks to a seemingly international shortage of 3-way blade switches that AREN'T Fender ones, I've stuck with the Ibby switch (still covered in battle scars anyway, and thats metal) so it'd wired 1 or 2 are Bridge, 3 is both, and 4 or 5 is neck. These pickups FUCKING PWN. Seriously, I'm kicking myself I took so long to put them in. They rock. So. Fucking. Hard. That said... Installation is a bitch. There is no way in hell I am raising my bridge and neck by 5mm to fit it all in comfortably, so I had to route everything out. My camera was in for repair so I didn't take any photos of it, but I routed it out, stained the new wood and then painted it. SD's screws are not in alignment with Dimarzio or Ibby screwholes, so that was another (irritating) interruption to the process. Clips up soon, I'm doing some drum tracks for a new song just now, so it will take a while. ![]() Pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Next up, in 6 weeks... ![]() |

Then again, Duncan passives have the annoying pole pieces that bang into the bottom of many pickup routes, so I guess everyone is stupid in some way or another. I'd seriously recommend these to anyone who has the active bug. And hot damn do they look good. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Love mine. Finally some 7 string pickups that sound as good as my 6 string pickups. Had to go active to get the tone though. ![]() |
