the stuff from kits, either build your own clone or general guitar gadgets, ranks right up there with the major company stuff, sometimes better in my opinion.

I did this when I was in high school and stuff sounded ok..but all I had access to was radio shack for parts.

I started up again about 2 years ago, better selection of parts with the internet, but I had problems ordering the wrong things.
This is the third time around and I have gain some knowledge and have built better quality pedals. I think there is some truth to the quality parts does affect the outcome..
