WHich job do you hate doing the most?

So, which one of the above jobs do you hate doing the most? I just set up and intonated and restrung guitars of the past few days, and I have to say that restringing is one of my least favorite jobs ever... Don't mind intonation too much, but restringing...

Soldering/rewiring. I can do it, but I'll be damned if I can get solder to stick to the back of the fucking pots

I voted restringing. I actually enjoy doing the intonation on my guitars, 'cause it's easy (once you know how to do it) and I know it'll sound perfect when I'm done. Restringing is just a pain in the ass though.

Here's the list in the order for me from most disliked to least disliked:

1. Restringing
2. Soldering/wiring
3. Truss rod adjustments (I don't even know how to do them yet)
4. Setting the action
5. Setting up in general
6. Hardware replacement
7. Intonation
8. Cleaning

Intonation on a floyd. I put changing hardware though, because if you swap the bridge you're doing 3 things on that list.

Well, despite the fact that i'm an avid floyd user, re-stringing was surprisingly not on my mind. Soldering and re-wiring is my downfall. Not that i can't do it, i just hate it. It's messy, awkward, fiddley, i always burn myself, i lose my tools, i burn plastic, and i stay in a bad mood for days afterwards!

Yep, It's made from bits of real Panther... so you know it's good.

hehe I'll vote after tonight. I'm doing the following to no less than 2 guitars:

"Wirewooling" frets
"Having at" fretboards
"Toothbrushing" Lo-Pro's
Taking out all p-ups
Swapping pots
Putting in all new p-ups
Intonating
Restringing

Busy night, tonight

You might as well be suckin' Wes Borland's no-talent dick if you play with any more than six strings on your fucking guitar.

intonation on a floyd rose can suck it big time. i can't tell you how many hours i've spent working on my old guitars with a trem like that. that's the thing i'm dreading most about finishing my project guitar

The intonation tools i bought of ibanezrules 2 years ago make intonation a breeze, really worth the money!
