Sooo.... Who wants to compare pickups for me?
So i've come to a tough decision, just like everyone else on this forum has at least a couple times come across..... new pick ups. The pick ups i've been looking at are miscillaneous dimarzio and bar knuckle 7s, and the lundgren m7. since i have no experience with the lungren and the bar knuckles, i'd like to know which ones you guys thought sounded the best. by the way, I'm putting them into a basswood body (rg1527 if it matters to anyone). and i'm only looking for a bridge pick up.

well, the bareknuckles sound significantly better from the dimarzios IMO (dont get me wrong,t he dimarzios can sound fuckin GREAT, but the BKP's are just on a whole different level), and the lundgren was way too bright for me. i only tried the lundgren for maybe 2 minutes, but it was just brighter than i like in a pickup.
The BKP's are optimal id say, but keep im mind, cost like 175 a pickup, which is like 100 more than the dimarzio. could be a bit cheaper if you order through zimbloth though. what kind of tones you do you like? you have an XTL and a 6505+, so im assuming you like hot heavy metal tones, but give us some more details on what you want, and we can go from there

I had a Lundgren M7 in the bridge of my Schecter. I haven't gotten my Bare Knuckles Nailbomb 7 in yet to try it out, but I can give my opinion on the M7.
Balls balls balls balls... That's what the M7 has. It had a bit of a lower mid scoop, and a smooth top end (even with the Ceramic magnet!). It was a great pickup if you want something that's teh br00talz and clear at the same time. SoundClick artist: TheMissing - page with MP3 music downloads 'UTF' and 'In Spite' are clips of the Lundgren. ![]()

A blaze just might work for you. But you pretty much described the M7 perfectly. Totally clear, fat, and big (not muddy) bass.

If you get them from Conklin they can get you just the M7 bridge.

Half the price of the set. Just email them and ask them about it.
