Jan is a jewel in the rough
ENGL(Fireball) + Blackouts (in a Schecter C7)?

Anybody knows what Blackouts sound like with the Fireball?
I am considering exchanging the stock JB in My C7 Blackjack since -although I love it - it fails to produce enough punch for the 7th string (compared to the 707 in my Ibby).

I know the Blackouts are supposed to be more organic, quieter, blah blah blah, but I am wondering if I'm not going to get MORE gain than I need. I mean, the FB has TONS of gain and I like keeping it at 10 o'clock - that's where the amp comes alive. Also, I am worried about the shared gain for the cleans - with passives, the clean channel is wonderfully clean even with the dirty channel producing a heavily distorted sound. With Blackouts... I dunno! Anybody?

I don't know, but I bet it sounds pretty godly.

7StringofAblicK-This is my footswitch. it changes channels on my amp - just like on a television, but I only have four channels.

Blackouts are hotter than EMGS, so they should kick the preamp harder. Turn down the gain of the amp a bit to even things and problem solved
